FAQs
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Not formal, but aim for cocktail or nice-dinner attire.
Where do I begin if the hotel selections don’t work for me?
The main events will be taking place in the East Village and Alphabet City, which are unfortunately not neighborhoods blessed with subways throughout. However, finding a hotel off of the F train, L train, or 4,5,6 trains will give you a direct transit option to these neighborhoods. You may also choose to hire a cab or ride-share on Saturday, in which case a hotel in Lower Manhattan (below 14th St., roughly) will help save on the distance and price of your ride.
Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?
The dinner will be a multi-course, family-style menu including several options suitable for guests with specific dietary restrictions. Products containing gluten will not be available in a gluten-free version, however plenty of alternative dishes will be available.
What’s the deal with riding the subway?
Our beloved NYC Subway may not be perfect, but it’s still the cheapest and easiest way to get around the Big Apple. All subway stations are now equipped with Tap-To-Pay entry to use your tap-ready credit card or smartphone, so no need to pre-load a MetroCard with funds. It’ll run you $2.90 every time you pay to enter the system, but transfers between trains are free.
